On a trip to Twickenham in Middlesex you may want to make the most of your visit by partaking of a spot of shopping, or do some sightseeing or just relax in one of the many varied restaurants or even dip your toe into the history of Twickenham which harks back to Anglo-Saxon times. Twickenham is part of the London borough of Richmond upon Thames.

There is ample choice in Twickenham for shopping and eating out. Its position makes it the ideal starting point for sightseeing along the historic places along the river Thames. Good connections to London too.

Visit the centre of town for shopping or visit some of the places of interest in Twickenham such as the London Wildlife Trusts’s Crane Park Island Nature Reserve. If you are more interested in history and architecture then we suggest a trip to see the magnificent gilded rooms of Marble Hill House, set in riverbank grounds of 66 acres or the Orleans House Gallery, built in 1710 in Italian styling and surrounded by woodland.

Visit the York House Gardens or Strawberry Hill gothic revival house, or if sport is your thing, take a look at the just as magnificent architecture of Twickenham Rugby Ground, the home of Rugby Union and the site of England’s home internationals.
