Ham House

Just a short drive or bus ride from Twickenham is Ham House which was the home of the Duke and Duchess of Lauderdale set on the banks of the River Thames. Built during the Stuart period, it now houses superb collections of paintings, furniture and textiles.

The gardens have recently been restored and there is an interesting eighteenth century dairy and even older seventeenth century still house.
